TEDxZürich is entering an exciting phase of renewal — redefining our activities, reshaping our strategy, and rebuilding the organization for its next chapter. We're looking for an Events Management Associate to support the Head of Event Management across the full lifecycle of our events.

TEDxZürich runs several events of different scales per season, each hosting 50–500 people. As Events Management Associate, you will provide operational support across three distinct phases:

• Feasibility: Collecting insight, exploring and evaluating potential collaboration options (e.g. venues, catering), mapping delivery approaches, outlining dependencies.
• Planning & Coordination: Building event-specific timelines and checklists, creating detailed briefs, coordinating logistics, and contingency plans.
• Execution: Delivering on-site logistics and event-day coordination, troubleshooting issues in real time, and documenting lessons learned for future events.

Are you a good fit?

• Organized and detail-oriented — managing multiple workstreams and timelines effectively
• Comfortable when plans change on short notice; excited to learn something new
• Skilled across various operational touchpoints; understands event delivery as a system
• Background in events, operations, marketing, or project management
• Fluent in English (German is a plus)
• Proactive and solution-oriented; curious and willing to learn
• Motivated by contributing to the TEDx mission

You drive fundraising and sponsorship initiatives — identifying corporate sponsors and leading the research and application process for relevant foundations and public grants.

• German native speaker; business-fluent English
• Sales, sponsorship, or fundraising experience
• Established Swiss network connections
• Persuasive communication skills
• Self-starting execution capability

You coordinate the attendee journey from arrival through departure — ensuring the vision is clearly understood and implemented throughout planning and execution of every event in the season.

• Event production and delivery experience
• Interest in hospitality, service design, or community-building
• Empathy and audience-centric thinking
• Strong organizational coordination abilities
