Nicolas Blanchard, Sponsoring. An entrepreneur with a background in web development, marketing and corporate communication, Nico is currently Head of Marketing at Appway. Previously, Nico co-founded cookits, where he spearheaded the company’s marketing and business development strategies. He holds a degree in Marketing and Communication from Lucerne University and Crisis Communication from ZHAW. In his spare time, Nico loves to travel and is passionate about cooking. Brian Clampet, Production. Brian is a technologist. He works in Cloud Services for Zurich based Centralway. He arrived in Switzerland 3 years ago from the New York tri-state area in pursuit of a Masters degree from the University of Lugano in Technology for Human Communication. He is an explorer of life and an amateur musician playing in several groups in Switzerland and Germany.
Pia Eggimann, Location & Catering. Pia Eggimann, Location and Catering. Pia works in event & sales at the 25hours hotel zürich-west and studies hotel management in Zürich, following her passion for hospitality. She spends her free time with reading, crossfit, running and traveling.
Karin Friedli, Communications. Karin works as a senior account manager at the online publishing and web agency Blogwerk and also as a lecturer at several educational institutions. Besides, she is a co-founder of LOREM (not Ipsum), a startup e-commerce project for independent magazines. She volunteers in the TED Open Translation Project and spends her spare time reading, running, blogging and traveling. She twitters as @karinfriedli
Melanie Kovacs, Participants. Melanie holds a degree in International Management from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences. Besides TEDxZurich, she organizes Startup Weekends. To foster female entrepreneurship, Melanie co-founded the association Aspire. Whenever there is time, she enjoys artisanal food, flying and speaking Spanish. Daniela Luzanin, Speakers. Daniela is working as senior project manager in the digital communications team at ABB headquarters in Zurich. Before working for ABB, she has worked for Namics and for Google in Zurich. She is also co-founder of the online magazine The Inspirer and spends her spare time traveling, doing water sports like scuba diving, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Oliver Mulle, Finance and Legal. Oliver is working as Head of Fairs & Events at T-LINK, organizing Swiss Pavilions at international trade fairs worldwide. Before, he was based in London, working for a pharmaceuticals company in the finance department. In his spare time he enjoys swimming in the lake of Zurich, visiting art exhibitions and walking through Zurich to explore newly developed areas.
David Nydegger, Head of Committee. David currently works as as head of product at zkipster, a startup company that develops and markets an innovative event and guest list management solution of the same name. Before, he co-founded Localina, an online reservation software for restaurants, which was acquired by local.ch in 2012. Besides his passion for all sorts of internet based business models, David likes to play the piano, loves cooking and is an avid cyclist. He occasionally twitters as @dnydegger.
Dania Gerhardt. Dania is a co-founder of Amazee Labs, a web agency specialized in community solutions. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Basel and worked as an auditor and accounting consultant at KPMG. She is very well connected in the Swiss web industry and initiator of the event series Web Monday Zurich and StartupCamp Switzerland. She occasionally twitters as @daniagerhardt.
