2010 Edition

The first TEDxZurich took place on October 20, 2010, at the University of the Arts Zurich (ZHdK). Over 450 applied for a spot; we were able to invite 250 amazing participants to an event that was filled up to the last seat. Another 100 met at the Hub Zurich to watch the live streaming together. Another 15’000 tuned in to the live streaming on the TEDxZurich website during the day.

The speakers hailed from all possible disciplines: two mechanical engineers from the ETH Zurich showcased a robot moving on one ball, a human rights activist that explained how to end torture worldwide or a magician who invited us into the world of high tech sorcery.
